What is the Matrix Protocol?

You already own a domain (e.g. yourcompany.com). We configure the DNS and set up your Matrix server on a subdomain like chat.yourcompany.com.

Create your account in minutes — no phone number required.

Open the app. Tap "Create account" on the welcome screen.
Choose your server
You'll be shown the default server (matrix.org). Tap "Continue" to use it, or tap "Change account provider" to use your own.
Enter a custom server (optional)
Type your homeserver URL (e.g. nexi.blog) in the "Homeserver URL" field, then tap "Continue".
Confirm server & sign in
The app will confirm which server your account will be on. Tap "Continue" to proceed to registration.
Authorize the app
A system prompt will ask permission for Element X to use your server for sign-in. Tap "Continue".
Sign in
Enter your username and password, then tap "Continue". Don't have an account? Tap "Create Account".
Create an account
Fill in your username, password and confirm password, then tap "Continue" to finish registration.
You're in
Your account is created. Start chatting securely on the Matrix network.
